WORK RIGHTS & STAY BACK POST STUDY

  • If you are participating in a course at or above NQF 6/QCF 6/SCQF 9 which typically means a Bachelors degree program or higher at a UK higher education institution you are allowed to:
  • Work for up to 20 hours per week during term time;
  • Work full-time during vacations;
  • International students can stay up 2 years after graduation in order to find Job

Post Study Work Visa-The Graduate Route

From summer 2021, international students who have successfully completed an undergraduate or master’s degree are going to be ready to enjoy two years’ work experience within the UK upon graduation, through the new Graduate Route. Students who complete their PhD are going to be ready to stay for 3 years.

  • The Graduate Route are going to be available to international students who have a legitimate Tier 4 visa at the time of application and have successfully completed a degree at undergraduate level or above at an Education Provider.
  • Successful applicants on this route are going to be ready to stay and work, or search for work, within the UK at any skill level for a maximum period of two years if they need successfully completed an undergraduate or master’s degree.
  •  PhD graduates are going to be ready to stay for 3 years.
  • Graduates are going to be ready to switch into skilled work once they need found an appropriate job.
    The new route are going to be launched within the summer of 2021, meaning that any eligible student who graduates within the summer of 2021 or after are going to be ready to apply for the route.
  • This includes students who have already started their courses.
  • The Graduate Route would require a replacement visa application.
  • It will include the payment of a visa fee and therefore the Immigration Health Surcharge. the precise fee are going to be began in due course.
  • Those who graduate and whose Tier 4 leave expires before the route is introduced won’t be eligible, however, most of those students will have had no expectation of benefitting from such a route once they applied to review within the UK.
